Pinehill is a research focused value oriented investment firm founded in 2011. We are a multi-family office with the goal of providing good and safe investment returns to our partners.
The principals of Pinehill are collectively one of the largest investors in our public equities fund and all direct private investment. We have substantially all our liquid net worth invested alongside our partners. Our financial interest is aligned with all our partners.
We strive to be as transparent as prudently possible in all our business dealings. We are open and straightforward with our partners, company management, brokerage and banking community.
We operate a public markets investment strategy to manage the liquid net worth of our partners. We also invest directly in private companies to provide permanent capital.
Pinehill Partners Fund commenced trading in March 2011 to manage the liquid net worth of our partners. Our objective is to deliver good risk-adjusted return through a research focused and value oriented investing process in public equities and bonds, primarily in Asia-Pacific.

Learn More >Prior to Pinehill, Sampson was a Director at Citadel Investment Group and Merrill Lynch involved in the sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, documentation and management of investments in the Asia-Pacific region (he also led the firms’ principal investment efforts in Australia).
Prior to that, Sampson was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Sampson previously held board directorships in Cgen Digital Media and China Hydro.
Sampson holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Melbourne.
Prior to Pinehill, Harvey was a Director at Citadel Investment Group and Investment Analyst at Goldentree Asset Management in London. He was involved in the research, sourcing, evaluation, and overall investment oversight of a wide range of technology and general industries in Europe.
Prior to that, Harvey was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Harvey was a board representative at China Huarong Asset Management.
Harvey holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science from Harvard College.
